2026 VISION & GOAL SETTING - IN PERSON

Join us for an intentional afternoon focused on clarity, direction, and alignment as we step into 2026 together.

WOMEN'S LIFTING: CLEVELAND OH

ALL AGES. ALL LEVELS. ALWAYS FOR A CAUSE.

SHOW YOURSELF WHAT'S POSSIBLE

An XYL Event brings women of all ages and experience levels together to step out of their comfort zone and show themselves they're capable of more. Our non-sanctioned powerlifting meets are open to all levels, from first-time lifters to seasoned athletes, with divisions based on age —not weigh-ins. Lifters compete in squat, bench, and deadlift, taking three attempts per lift with total weight determining scores. But at the heart of every XYL event is community, confidence, and purpose—including a For the One component, where we intentionally partner with a local charity to use strength to make an impact beyond the platform

THE DIVISIONS

This meet is non-sanctioned and open to ALL levels; our non-showcase meets (like this one) do not include weigh-in's like traditional powerlifting meets. Divisions are based on current age of the athlete on meet day.

Many of our lifters have not competed in any lifting competition prior to lifting in an Xpand Your Limits, while others have competed in multiple high-level, sanctioned and/or elite events. Xpand Your Limits Meets are the perfect opportunity to step outside of your comfort zone, build confidence in competition, meet other women, inspire and cheer each other on, and compete for a cause - no matter your level.

Anyone under the age of 18 must have a legal guardian present.

THE LIFTING MEET

This is a Paragraph Font

  • 3 Main Lifts: Lifters will compete in squat, bench, and deadlift in a powerlifting meet-style manner.

  • 3 Attempts: Each lifter will have 3 attempts at both lifts to reach their maximum lift on each movement

  • Total Score Combined: The highest lift of EACH lift will be combined for the scoring

  • All women of All Levels: We've had ages 7 to 72 years old and women lifting the bar to 500+lbs

FOR THE ONE

For the One is inspired by Luke 15—the story of leaving the ninety-nine to go after the one. At every XYL event, we partner with a local charity to ensure the strength built on the platform reaches beyond the room and into the life of someone who needs it. All the door fees goes directly to support that local charity.

Ed Keating Center

The Ed Keating Center is a sober living program for both men and women that empowers individuals to rebuild their lives through structure, support, and accountability.

Their three non-profit sober living facilities are home to about 150 men and women at a time.

OUR MISSION AT XYL

At Xpand Your Limits (XYL), our mission is to help women step beyond self-doubt and into who they were created to be through challenge, community, and intentional growth. We believe confidence is built through action, courage is developed outside of comfort, and real transformation happens through small, consistent commitments that compound over time. Through training, events, coaching, and shared experiences, XYL creates spaces where women learn to trust themselves, strengthen both body and mind, and pursue growth with clarity, faith, and purpose—one degree at a time.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do I need to be experienced?

No. XYL events are designed for all levels—from first-time lifters to seasoned athletes. If you train consistently and are willing to challenge yourself, you belong here.

Can I compete alone?

Yes—and many women do. XYL events are built around community, and you’ll be supported by judges, volunteers, and fellow lifters throughout the day. You won’t feel alone for long.

What if I’ve never maxed before?

That’s completely okay. You’ll have three attempts per lift, and you can choose conservative weights. Judges are there to help, and the focus is on effort and growth—not perfection.

What should I wear?

Wear what makes you feel confident and comfortable to lift in. No singlets are required. All we ask is for form fitted clothes so the judges can see the angles of your lifts. Most lifters choose leggings or shorts with a fitted top or sports bra. Flat, closed-toe shoes are required for safety. Lifting belts, knee sleeves, and wrist wraps are welcome but optional. This isn’t about looking a certain way—it’s about showing up ready to lift.

What are the equipment regulations?

Lifters may use wrist wraps, knee sleeves, lifting belts, and flat lifting shoes—or lift barefoot with socks if preferred. However, wrist straps, knee wraps, lifting gloves, and elbow wraps are not permitted. You do not need specialty gear such as a singlet or deadlift socks to compete. Wear what you normally train in and feel confident lifting—this event is about accessibility, safety, and showing up ready to try.

Do you have a refund policy?

We do not accept refund requests, but you are more than able to substitute an athlete in your place or credit your purchase towards a future event. If there are extenuating circumstances, please reach out to us and let us know.
